As expected, YS Sharmila has been officially appointed as the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC). She will accept the role with immediate effect.

His resignation cleared the route for Sharmila. The Congress high command also appointed the outgoing PCC president Rudhra Raju as the special invitee to the Congress Working Committee.
