Earlier, it was announced that Samantha will feature in a film titled Chennai Story, which is an official adaptation of the novel “The Arrangements of Love.” However, the film never hit the floors due to multiple reasons.
Now, Samantha is replaced by Shruti Haasan. The makers announced the project once again with Shruti and Viveik Kalra as the leads. This cross-cultural rom-com will be directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Philip John.
Chennai Story is an Indo-UK co-production which will be bankrolled by Guru Films, Ripple World Pictures and ie ie Productions. The project is backed by the British Film Institute’s UK Global Screen Fund.
