
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has announced its intention to contest nine seats in Hyderabad for the upcoming Telangana Assembly Elections. This includes the Rajendra Nagar and Jubilee Hills assembly constituencies, in addition to its existing seats.
The party has fielded candidates for these constituencies, including former mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain in Nampally and former mayor Zulfekhar Ali in Charminar.
Two sitting legislators, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and Yakutpura, were requested not to contest.
