White Paper On Power: TS Situation Alarming!

Today in the state assembly, the Congress-led government of Telangana presented white papers focusing on the power sector. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the critical financial situation within this sector.

According to Bhatti Vikramarka, the total debt currently amounts to Rs. 81,516 crores as of October 31, 2023. Among this, Rs. 30,406 crores are attributed to day-to-day working capital, utilized to settle dues owed to electricity-supplying generators.

Acknowledging the financial challenges, Bhatti Vikramarka assured that the current government remains dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality and consistent power to the state’s residents. He emphasized a commitment to navigating the sector’s difficulties responsibly and transparently, aiming to overcome the existing challenges.
