Biryani is a comfort food in most parts of India and there is debate almost every other day about the best biryani. Swiggy has put an end to this debate. At least for now!
Wait, no it’s not Hyderabad or Kolkata that has the best biryani. According to Swiggy, the best biryani is served by Delhi’s Bikkgane Biryani. And the fact has been ratified by Swiggy Restaurant Awards, 2025.
The Awards were decided by the customers after a month of voting based on tantalizing their taste buds. Swiggy believes food is more than just a meal.
The Swiggy Restaurant Awards celebrate the chefs, restaurants and culinary innovators who make India’s food scene one of the best in the country. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the best of local favorites across cities.
Meanwhile, Chula Chauki da Dhaba has won the Best North Indian Award and A2B or Adyar Anand Bhavan won for the best in South Indian.
Fast food places Domino’s and McDonald’s won the best pizza and burger awards, while the best Chinese was won by Chowman.
Best in desserts went to Theobroma, best in Indian sweets went to Adyar Anand Bhavan, best in bolt went to KFC and best in ice cream went to Baskin Robbins – Ice cream desserts.
60 lakh plus votes were cast from 130 plus cities for 16,000 plus nominations.
