Businessman Crashes 5 Girls in Daylight

Shocking visuals emerge from a CCTV in Mangalore which shows a car trampling 5 girls in broad daylight. In what came out as a shock to the nearby pedestrians, a white Honda car which is visibly over speeding steps on the footpath and collides with the 5 girls from behind. This incident took place near Mangala swimming pool from Mannaguda towards Ladyhill and has sadly snatched a daughter from a father.

The victims Rupashree (23), Swathi (26), Hithnavi (16), Krithika (16) and Yathika (12) were taken to the hospital immediately where their injuries were mended to but sadly Rupashree could not live to see another day. The other four girls have now been discharged from the hospital and are well.

CCTV footages show that after having crashed into the women, the driver, Kamalesh Baldev (57) did not stop and hurriedly fled the scene. It was later found out that he parked his vehicle outside a nearby Honda showroom and sought shelter in his home from where, along with his father he later paid a visit to Traffic West Police Station. Baldev is a real estate businessman and has been booked under section 304 (A) of the Indian Penal code for rash and negligent act leading to someone’s death. Police commissioner Anupam Aggarwal said that they will investigate further and get him tested for drunk and drive and other things, bringing into effect the provisions necessary.
