Gamblers Vs Police In High Voltage Drama

The state police departments in India have been trying to build a reputation of their own with the advent of social media. Police in India have been traditionally portrayed in a bad light which the departments are trying to change. Some police departments boast of their Swift and strict action while some try to be hilarious on social media in order to find relevance among the youth. Goa police is famous for observing strict rules across the state and a video of their action is going viral which supports the claim.

In the video, a team of Goa police can be seen raiding a household where illegal gambling was taking place. There were around 5-6 men who were involved in gambling. The police caught hold of them to arrest them. The drama increased when one of the men tried to escape as they were being escorted to the police van. A policeman ran after the escaped man to catch him.

Gambling is illegal on the Indian mainland but casinos have found a loophole in the system to set up huge casinos in lagoons and sea water. This allows them to legally operate whereas any activity related to gambling performed on the mainland attracts severe police action as we saw in this case.
