A surprising incident in Hyderabad has raised concerns over misuse of technology in vehicles. During a drunken driving check in Jubilee Hills, police detained a man using a modified number plate system that could change instantly.
According to officials, the vehicle was fitted with a mechanism that allowed the number plate to be altered at the press of a button. This enabled the driver to evade traffic challans and avoid identification during checks.
Police took the accused into custody and seized the vehicle for further examination. A case has been registered, and authorities have launched an investigation to identify those involved in designing and installing the system.
