Private Videos Used to Extort Lakhs, Shocking Karimnagar Case

A husband and wife were arrested for cheating and blackmailing men through social media. Police revealed that the couple trapped over 100 men in the last three years and collected lakhs of rupees by threatening to leak private videos.

The couple lived in Karimnagar, where the husband earlier ran a marble and interior work business. After suffering heavy losses, they failed to repay loan EMIs for a plot they had purchased. They then planned the crime to make quick money.

The wife posted attractive content on social media to lure men. When businessmen and young men contacted her, she invited them to the apartment. During private moments, the husband secretly recorded videos without their knowledge.

Later, the couple contacted the victims and threatened to share the videos with family members and friends. Out of fear and embarrassment, many men paid large sums. Police confirmed that more than 100 victims were cheated this way.

One lorry businessman from Karimnagar paid 13 lakh rupees. When the couple demanded another 5 lakh, he approached the police. Following the complaint, officers arrested both accused, warning the public to stay alert on social media.
