Marriage Pressure: Hyd Techie Jumps Into Lake

People in this modern age seem more fragile and are making extreme decisions when faced with minor problems.

In the latest incident, a 25-year-old Hyderabad techie committed suicide as he was unable to reveal his love story to his parents.

Getting into details, Balaji was a resident of Musheerabad and worked as a Software Engineer at an IT company in Madhapur Knowledge City.

As usual, Balaji went to work on July 24 (Wednesday) but didn’t return home. His phone was switched off as well. His family asked his friends about his whereabouts but no one knew where he was.

Eventually, Balaji’s parents filed a missing case at Raidurg Police Station. The police have registered an FIR and started an investigation.

During the investigation, the cops traced Balaji’s movements through CC cameras. After leaving office at 08.30 PM on July 24, Balaji went to Durgam Cheruvu.

He committed suicide by jumping into the lake. The police found his body in the lake on Friday evening. He was identified by his ID card.

Later, the police found out that Balaji had been in a relationship with a woman for the past few years. Reportedly, she constantly pressurised him for marriage and unable to discuss his love story with the family members, Balaji ended up taking his life.

The body has been sent to Osmania Hospital for postmortem and the police are continuing further investigation.
