A disturbing incident from India has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns about parenting. A mother allegedly made her young son jump from a high-rise balcony to retrieve a fallen saree.

According to reports, the incident occurred in a housing society. The mother made her son climb down from their top-floor balcony to a lower floor, believed to be around the 4th or 5th floor.
The reason behind the act was reportedly a saree that had fallen onto the balcony below. As the neighbouring house was empty, she could not access it through the staircase.
Instead of seeking help, the mother allegedly tied another saree like a belt and lowered her son. She then pulled him back up after retrieving the saree.
The situation could have turned fatal if the child had slipped even slightly. A fall from that height would have had catastrophic consequences.
