New Deadly Scam: Fraudsters Lying on Roads

The video was shared on Instagram by Prateek Singh, who urged authorities to take strict action against such fraudsters.

Many users commented on the post, calling for stronger laws to punish people trying to exploit innocent drivers. “This is why every car owner needs a dashcam,” one user wrote.

Cases of staged accidents have been reported before in cities like Delhi and Mumbai, but Bengaluru, with its heavy traffic and frequent road congestion, seems to be a new target. Experts warn that such incidents not only put lives at risk but also increase insurance fraud.

Authorities have yet to respond to this particular case, but many believe that stricter surveillance and awareness campaigns are necessary.

Such activities are not new in India, people do this for many reasons, including extortion. Drivers are advised to stay alert, use dashcams, and report such incidents to the police.
