A shocking case has emerged from Palghar involving a self styled godman. He has been accused of serious crimes, including deception, assault, and blackmail.
According to reports, the accused pretended to be a form of Lord Shiva. He allegedly manipulated a woman emotionally by referring to her as Parvati.
The victim claims he drugged and assaulted her. He later blackmailed her using private photos to maintain control over her.
For a long time, the victim remained silent due to fear. She decided to speak out only after learning about a similar case.
This highlights how difficult it can be for victims to come forward. Situations involving trust and belief often make it harder to report such crimes.
Similar incidents have been reported in places like Kanpur, Mumbai, and Karjat. In some cases, religious figures were accused of abusing minors.
Reports suggest that some victims were very young. In one case, a minor even became pregnant, raising serious concerns.
These cases point to a larger issue. Some individuals misuse religion to gain blind trust and exploit vulnerable people.
Experts and authorities stress the need for awareness. People should remain cautious and avoid blind faith in any individual.
Questioning and verifying claims is important for personal safety. Staying informed can help prevent such incidents.
