Railway Food Beats 5-Star Restaurants!

If you are a frequent traveler on trains, one thing you already know is never to go for food served by the pantry cars. The poor quality of food service has already tarnished the image of Indian Railways, and it doesn’t seem like it will be cleaned up anytime soon.

Many times, we hear of people getting sick from railway food or encountering issues with rats and cockroaches contaminating the food. Memes are even being made by people to highlight the awful food being served. Many commercial companies like Zomato and Swiggy are now directly delivering packaged food to travelers. A recent tweet went viral when a guy sarcastically tweeted about the food served in Vande Bharat.

In the tweet, the guy says, “This was the dinner served on Vande Bharat. Thank you, Modi ji, for improving the condition of our Indian Railways.” This was mistakenly taken seriously by a certain section of people, and they started praising the supposed great quality of food being served, which is actually not true. The fact remains that we still lack good quality food service on trains.
