People rarely forget to demarcate the line between humans and animals. An incident of animal cruelty has surfaced from the ongoing Indian Premier League.
In the video, a dog is being chased, kicked and punched by grounds staff during the MI vs GT match on Sunday. The dog managed to escape to the playing area.
This incident has sparked controversy over the treatment of animals in our country. People have expressed their disgust over the behaviour of the grounds staff and the funny reaction that many people have.
If this is how animals are treated on national TV then it is even difficult to expect how they’re treated off camera. Incidents of cruelty with animals have been increasing, especially during festive seasons and now this has demanded strict measures to safeguard the animal’s life.
The biggest step would come from the general public who will take it as their duty to treat animals as they should be, with love and affection rather than a medium for their pleasure and cruelty.
