In the 18-second video that is being circulated everywhere, we see a United Nations official car. Inside the car, there is a man who is engaging in a sexual act with a woman. The car moves away while the man is preoccupied with the woman.
The video is from Israel, and the individuals in the car are workers from the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), which is a peacekeeping force in Jerusalem. After the misconduct, the United Nations sent these individuals on unpaid leave.
“Such behavior is considered abhorrent and goes against everything that we stand for and have been working to achieve in terms of fighting misconduct by UN staff,” said Mr. Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General.
