Airports have always been a dramatic place especially in movies and shows. They are usually associated with the climax of the plot where anything could happen. Thankfully for the Punjab police, what happened at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, helped them avoid an international pursuit. A man was arrested at the Delhi airport by Punjab police for allegedly killing his own wife.
The accused is an NRI man who had just returned from Italy. The police have said that the man has allegedly murdered his wife at his house in Sandhu Chatha village in Kapurthala, Punjab. Police said that he killed her by hitting her head on the floor of the house. The man was trying to flee the country when he was arrested by the police.
The couple got married in 2007 but had accused each other of infidelity. The man returned to India on 30th October with the intention of killing his wife. The murder took place just one day after that on the 31st of October.
The accused is under arrest at the moment and police are going to further investigate the matter.
