Woman Smuggles 6 Gold Bars in Underwear at Airport

Gold prices in India are rising rapidly, leading to a surge in smuggling attempts. Many people are trying creative and risky ways to hide and transport gold from other countries to avoid taxes and earn quick profits.

At Delhi’s IGI Airport, customs officials recently caught a woman arriving from Myanmar with gold hidden inside her undergarments. During screening, officers noticed something suspicious and conducted a detailed search.

They discovered six gold biscuits weighing around one kilogram, worth several lakhs of rupees. The woman had concealed them cleverly to pass through scanners, but the customs team detected the smuggling attempt in time.

Officials seized the gold and launched an investigation to find out who supplied it and where it was headed. This case highlights how rising gold prices are pushing people to take dangerous risks, even under strict airport security.
