The proteins which are also called the vital blockades of life manufacture significant life function in mankind. Tissues that make up our bodies are heavily fueled by vital proteins, which lead to muscle repair and hair growth, among other functions. Indeed the Indian market of protein-based products is as large as 18,358.5 crore rupee in 2023 India.
But nowadays, a research was conducted on 36 most popular proteins powder which is sold in India and it’s the reason why the fitness world is getting stunned.
Impressionistic study by 70% of the samples shows them being not what the labels say about them. Your trusty tub of protein shake you’ve been drinking could well not be selling what it promoted in all honesty. Nevertheless, 14% of such supplements represent toxic pollutants. Yes, that’s true; these potentially hazardous threats are sneaking out even in that place which looks so harmless.
Presence of pesticide’s residue was found in 8% of the samples. My feeling about the shake that I should be having after the workout is not the same like before.
It could be seen that the majority herbal protein-supplements made in India are of low quality and contain harmful additional ingredients. They were probably not the kind of profits we had dreamed about!
Presented by a team of medical researchers from Rajagiri Hospital in Kerala, and a tech entrepreneur from the United States, the study was both interesting and striking for its uniqueness.
It was their finding that’s put emphasis to control loopholes in the protein supplement industry which is publicized in the peer-reviewed journal Medicine.
