With India losing the 3rd test match by such a narrow margin of 22 runs, the pundits of cricket have chosen the perfect scapegoat to blame for the whole situation.
And that scapegoat is stand-in wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel. Jurel dropping 3 crucial catches and giving 40+ runs as byes has ensured that he stands on the receiving end of the sword of criticism.
While many are bashing Jurel, several others have taken a different stance. Don’t misinterpret, they are bashing indeed. But they are criticising those who have hyped Jurel over the past few days for being ‘more ideal’ than Pant.
Several others have also come out in his defence, highlighting the fear and nervousness any relatively younger player faces during such a crucial match.
With all eyes on the 4th test, it will be interesting to see if the Men in Blue manage to bounce back to level things yet again with the English.
