Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has shifted his training base to Bengaluru and will now prepare regularly at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. The move is expected to support his long-term fitness management as he continues his recovery and plans for his white-ball career.
Hardik Pandya is currently recovering from a quadriceps injury, which has ruled him out of the ongoing white-ball tour of the UK. He is still following the prescribed return-to-play protocols, and his availability for the upcoming T20I series against Zimbabwe remains uncertain.
According to reports, this is not a temporary arrangement. Hardik Pandya has reportedly rented a residence near the Centre of Excellence and plans to use the facility regularly, even when he is not on national duty.
The all-rounder will continue working with his personal physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach while also receiving support from the BCCI staff. The arrangement is aimed at ensuring a structured recovery and maintaining peak fitness.
The decision has generated mixed reactions among cricket fans. Many believe training at the Centre of Excellence is a sensible step that can help Hardik Pandya manage his workload and prolong his international career. Others are waiting to see whether the move will help him make a successful comeback.
For now, the focus remains on Hardik Pandya’s recovery and his return to competitive cricket. His fitness over the coming weeks will play a key role in determining when he is back in India’s white-ball squad.
