India Crush Australia: Bapu’s Magical U-Turn!

India defeated Australia by 48 runs in the fourth T20, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. With this win, India gained a solid advantage heading into the final match on 8 November. The first match was washed out, while Australia won the second and India the third.

After Australia chose to bowl first, India posted 167/8 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill top-scored with 46, while Abhishek Sharma added 28. Captain Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) scored 20, and Axar Patel remained unbeaten on 21. The opening pair put up a strong 56-run partnership before wickets fell regularly.

Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa picked three wickets each for Australia, keeping India’s total within reach.

Bowlers Seal India’s Victory

Chasing 168, Australia struggled from the start. Only captain Mitchell Marsh crossed 30 runs. India’s bowlers dominated, with Washington Sundar taking three wickets in just 1.2 overs. Shivam Dube and Axar Patel picked two wickets each, while Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Varun Chakravarthy took one apiece.

Axar Patel Shines Again

Axar Patel, fondly called Bapu, was named Man of the Match for his all-round show. Despite a modest batting display, India’s bowlers ensured a comfortable 48-run win, putting the team in a strong position ahead of the final T20.
