There is no doubt about Rishabh Pant’s abilities as a test batter. He is known to play daring shots, leading to hit-or-miss situations, while often coming in clutch to help team India out of its problems.
Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin in a recent interview, heaped praises on the unconventional batter, calling him a ‘fantastic test batter with a questionable choice of shots’.
His exact words were, “I think Rishabh is a high-quality Test batsman. He can just walk into that team as a pedigree Test batsman even if he does not have to hold on to the gloves. Fantastic Test batter with a questionable choice of shots sometimes.”
With Pant already smashing roofs in England, fans are more than excited to watch his magic live once the big game begins.
It will be interesting to see if Pant can maintain his form and live up to his reputation as India gears up to battle England on June 20th, 2025.
