IND X-Factor Injured! Major Setback Before SA Tests

Rishabh Pant has suffered another injury after being hit on the forearm during the India A vs South Africa A match in Bengaluru. He retired hurt on Day 3 and is now doubtful for the upcoming South Africa Test series starting November 14 in Kolkata.

Pain Returns Just After Comeback

Pant, who recently returned from a long injury break, looked confident early on. He hit two fours and a six after walking in following KL Rahul’s dismissal. However, South African pacer Tshepo Moreki struck him repeatedly with short-pitched deliveries.

On-Field Treatment and Growing Concern

Despite medical attention on the field, Pant struggled with pain and eventually walked off. The physio treated him three times after the forearm blow and once again after another hit on his abdomen. BCCI hasn’t issued an official update yet, leaving fans and the team anxious.

Possible Replacement and Selection Pressure

Harsh Dubey replaced Pant at the crease, while Dhruv Jurel, seen as a possible replacement for the Test series, is currently batting. If Pant fails to recover in time, Jurel is expected to take over the wicketkeeping duties in the first Test.

India Awaits Crucial Medical Updates

Pant had fractured his foot earlier this year during the England tour and was recently recalled to the Test squad. The next few days are crucial as India waits for medical updates on one of its most dynamic and entertaining players.
