IND vs WI: Rohit-Virat Face Unexpected Ban!

Just before the second Test between India and West Indies starts in Delhi on October 10, an interesting update has come out. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have arrived in the capital. However, even after joining the team, they won’t be allowed inside the dressing room.

India leads the two-match Test series 1-0 after winning the first game. The second and final Test will be played from October 10 to 14. Once it ends, the team will head to Australia for the ODI and T20 series. Rohit, Virat, and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer are expected to join the squad in Delhi for the trip.

Dressing Room Restriction

Although Rohit and Virat are present with the team, they can’t enter the dressing room during the ongoing Test. As per the rules, only members of the active Test squad have access to the dressing area. Since both are not part of the current team, they’ll stay outside.

Practice and Preparation

Rohit and Virat can train in the nets and prepare for the ODI series starting October 19 in Perth. If they wish to watch the match, they’ll have to sit in a separate section away from the team enclosure.

Changes Ahead of Australia Tour

The Australia series will bring a few key changes. Shubman Gill has been appointed as India’s new ODI captain, with Rohit stepping down from the role. Both Rohit and Virat will make their comeback after a long break, adding valuable experience to the side.

Balancing Youth and Experience

Under Gill’s leadership, the team aims to balance young talent with seasoned players. The ongoing exposure to new faces in the Test format could help build a stronger future lineup for India.

Team Dinner Before the Final Test

Before the Delhi Test, head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted a team dinner at his Rajinder Nagar home. The players arrived together by bus and enjoyed a relaxed evening ahead of the final clash with West Indies.

Focus Shifts to Australia

While Rohit and Virat’s presence in Delhi has created a buzz, their temporary dressing room restriction highlights how structured the team environment has become. After the Delhi Test, attention will turn to the Australia tour beginning on October 19, where fans eagerly await the return of India’s senior pros.
