Can Lokesh Kanagaraj Crack Another 2000-Cr Film?

The Bollywood community is rife with the news that Aamir Khan could very soon be joining Lokesh Kanagaraj in the superhero film “Irumbu Kai Mayavi.” Fans and critics are equally intrigued, as they are sceptical about how a developing project can stir such mixed results.

His name alone defines the art of storytelling, as for Lokesh Kanagaraj, it is safe to say, ‘we reap what we sow.’ His masterpiece has to be “Kaithi,” “Master,” and “Leo,” which are all part of the highly successful and well-received Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Their captivating storyline always puts viewers in for a blissful treat.

Such emotionally stirring and fascinating stories alongside character development add beauty to his work and have helped him gain an almost cult-like following.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan is affectionately referred to as “Mr. Perfectionist,” but his run after his blockbuster “Dangal” has been nothing short of perplexing.

The culture-defining movie “Dangal” was a cash cow grossing over 2000 crores. Still, Aamir’s recent projects, including “Laal Singh Chaddha,” have encountered major roadblocks, failing to get even close to the success endured with Dangal.

It raises the question as to whether or not Aamir has it in him to pull off yet another successful film.

It is believed that Lokesh’s ‘Irumbu Kai Mayavi’ is based on the plot, which is about a man who loses his hand and is given a claw that grants him unforeseen powers. The narrative has layers to it and holds the possibility of being mesmerizing to watch.

However, the onus of doing so now depends on how Aamir Khan manages to emerge with a character who suits the modern-day superhero role.

The possibility of the collaboration of Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj is quite fascinating, but it also possesses its challenges.

It seems like, even if Irumbu Kai Mayavi is fixed, it holds great potential, but we still do not know whether or not this masterpiece will be able to be created.

The real question is, will Aamir Khan be the lead for another 2000 crore project directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj? Only time will tell.
