Following the failure of the recently released Kara, Dhanush is currently acting as the lead in the tentatively titled D55, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, and the shooting of this film is now happening at a fast pace.
As everyone knows, following D55, Dhanush has a commercial entertainer with director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, a historical film with Mari Selvaraj, and the highly anticipated sequel Vada Chennai 2 with Vetrimaaran in his lineup.
In this scenario, there is now strong speculation that Dhanush is planning to collaborate with Bollywood director Jagan Shakti, who is known for his debut film Mission Mangal. Jagan Shakti is currently making a forest adventure film with Ajay Devgn titled Ranger. The script work for Dhanush’s film is reportedly happening at a fast pace.
In response to this speculation, many people on social media suggest that if this project materializes, it could become a solid film for Dhanush to emerge as a pan-Indian star and has the potential to connect with Hindi audiences once again after Tere Ishk Mein. Jagan Shakti is considered a sensible director and might deliver an entertaining and meaningful film on a pan-India level.
Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, sources suggested that Dhanush was going to collaborate on a forest-based adventure film under the direction of PS Mithran, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The genre of Jagan Shakti’s film is still unknown. Fans are hoping it will not be another jungle-based adventure film. Dhanush is packed for the next three years with multiple projects in his lineup, so there is still no clarity on the timeline for this project.
Ultimately, there are still no official updates regarding this speculation. It remains to be seen whether Dhanush and Jagan Shakti will collaborate and, if they do, how the project will take shape in the future.
