Dhruva Natchathiram June 15 Release in Danger Again?

Vikram’s long-delayed film Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon was recently scheduled for release on June 15. This development came after the Madras High Court verdict on April 30 allowed the film to release on or before that date.

Following the court’s decision, the makers reportedly began distribution work for the film’s theatrical release. This created fresh confidence among fans and industry circles that Dhruva Natchathiram would finally reach theatres without facing another postponement.

However, a fresh legal issue has now emerged ahead of the release. According to reports, investors K Punniyamoorthy and K Premkumar have filed an appeal seeking to stop the film’s release until their pending dues are cleared by the makers.

The court reportedly heard the matter today. During the hearing, Gautham Vasudev Menon’s legal team informed the court that the makers were already considering postponing the release to June 18 as they required additional time to settle the remaining balance amount owed to investors.

After hearing the arguments, the judge reportedly paused the legal proceedings and postponed the next hearing to June 2. With this latest development, clarity regarding the release date of Dhruva Natchathiram is expected only after the upcoming court hearing.

The latest appeal has also highlighted that some financial settlements are still pending between the makers and financiers. Because of this, uncertainty surrounding the film’s release has once again started growing on social media platforms.

Several social media users are now expressing doubts about whether the film will release anytime soon. Some users have even started trolling the project by joking that Dhruva Natchathiram may only release in 2050 due to its continuous delays.
