Gangai Amaran's Claims Spark Speculation

Director Gangai Amaran, the father of popular director Venkat Prabhu, is currently promoting his recently released film Lenin Pandiyan, in which he played a crucial role, by giving interviews.

In one such interview, he severely criticized a current generation star actor for wasting the dates of his son, Venkat Prabhu. His comments about the star actor have now gone viral on social media, sparking heated discussions.

While speaking about his son’s work, Gangai Amaran stated that Venkat Prabhu’s next film has been delayed because he was depending on a star actor for another project. He claimed that he won’t reveal the actor’s name because there is no need to blame him, adding that he should just let him live his life.

Furthermore, he mentioned that Venkat Prabhu had already prepared the story and the actor had also given his call sheet. But after one of the actor’s films became a super hit, he apparently decided that he would work on two films with another director before proceeding with Venkat Prabhu’s project.

He also noted that he sent those details to Venkat Prabhu and reportedly told him, “Do you really need this? No matter how big the actor is, should you have to go to such lengths and plead with him to act in your film? Wouldn’t that be an insult to our family? He is ignoring you, so you should also ignore him.” Only after that did Venkat Prabhu decide not to make the film.

Even though Gangai Amaran did not name the actor, many people have concluded that he is referring to Sivakarthikeyan because a few months ago, Sivakarthikeyan and Venkat Prabhu were set to collaborate on a project, but due to certain reasons, it got shelved.

Consequently, they started criticizing Sivakarthikeyan, suggesting that he does not have the right to waste a director’s time and that he committed a mistake. They feel that Sivakarthikeyan seems like a very selfish person, which is why he purposely asked Venkat Prabhu to wait, even after the pre-production work for the film was already completed.

They also noted that before the massive success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan’s cameo appearance in Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) garnered him a huge spotlight and Venkat Prabhu was the one who gave him such a strong cameo in a star-hero film. Hence, they feel Sivakarthikeyan should not have done this to Venkat Prabhu.

Ultimately, all of these are just social media discussions and Gangai Amaran did not reveal who the actor is. However, Gangai Amaran’s comments about an actor purposely delaying Venkat Prabhu’s project have now gone viral and many people continue to share their responses to it.
