Jailer 2: Rajini Fans Fear Another Coolie After Trailer?

Rajinikanth Jailer 2 Trailer Reactions

Ever since the most anticipated trailer of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was dropped social media has been flooded with lots of trolls and discussions about it.

Considering the sequel hype and the pan-Indian casting, many trade experts believed that Jailer 2 had a huge opportunity to achieve Kollywood’s dream 1000-crore mark and do wonders at the box office. But slowly, those beliefs are starting to fade.

This is because, so far, whatever has been released from Jailer 2, including the singles and the recently released trailer, hasn’t met the expectations of the audience and failed to boost the hype. After watching the recently released trailer, many Rajinikanth fans themselves now fear whether Jailer 2 will also end up like Coolie.

In the entire trailer, Rajinikanth had only one powerful sequence with a blast in the background and even that particular sequence is now getting heavily trolled by netizens. They claim that the shot felt like AI slop and are severely criticizing the makers for the poor execution of VFX in that sequence.

Meanwhile, some people, pointing to Rajinikanth’s dialogue before that sequence, suggest that it is evident the blast sequence is going to be a crucial scene in the film, but Nelson Dilipkumar wasted the surprise element by using it in the trailer. Consequently, they feel that Nelson Dilipkumar didn’t even cut the trailer properly.

However, although Jailer 2 is surrounded by lots of negative responses and trolls for its promotional materials, many people still have high hopes that the Nelson Dilipkumar and Rajinikanth duo will not disappoint. They believe that the film will have many surprises, similar to the original Jailer and that Jailer 2 will emerge as a huge commercial success.

Furthermore, they note that these trolls and negative responses are actually good for Jailer 2 in an opposite way. They suggest that the major reason for the failure of Coolie was the over the top expectations, but accidentally, due to the failure of the promotional materials and very poor promotions, Jailer 2 has only modest expectations among the audience, with many people even thinking that it will definitely fail.

Hence, they claim that if Nelson Dilipkumar surprises them by delivering a solid film, Jailer 2 will regain its momentum after the first show and do wonders at the box office.

Ultimately, despite the failure of the promotional materials, it remains to be seen whether Nelson Dilipkumar will surprise the audience with the film and whether Jailer 2 will emerge as a blockbuster success upon its release on October 15th.
