In this scenario, actor turned politician Kamal Haasan also shared his congratulations for Vairamuthu through a post on his X account, referring to him as his mentor and expressing how truly happy he is for this honor. In response to Kamal Haasan’s tweet, singer Chinmayi expressed her anger with a reply that has now become a huge topic of discussion on social media.

Chinmayi posted, “Men in such power in cinema transitioning to politics, completely turning a deaf ear to women who come on record to say they were molested by his uncle-mentor, must remind women who vote that men will never be on our side.”

Furthermore, she claimed that even a woman within his own party publicly named the poet, yet he continues to support his mentor. She condemned this, stating that at the end of the day, men will stand up for their bros, uncles, dads, friends, and mentors, and that no one cares if multiple women were traumatized by them.

In response to Chinmayi’s reply, many people on social media argued that she always cries on X whenever Kamal Haasan speaks about Vairamuthu and makes a fuss. They claim she has never taken legal action against Vairamuthu and shared proof against him, but instead always tries to project him in a bad light whenever positive news about him goes viral.
