The Malayalam actress Amina Nijam known for Turkish Tharkkam and Gangs of 18 has come under severe scrutiny on the internet. Netizens are calling her anti-nationalist after the statements she has made about the recent Pahalgam Attack and subsequent retaliation Operation Sindoor.
She shared on an Instagram story that she feels ashamed of the fact that the Indian army killed people in Pakistan. She was preaching a lesson of peace but she seems to be ignoring the fact that innocent people in India also died.
She was harshly criticised and people asked that she should not be given work as she harbours such opinions. While a rational thinking about war and its consequences is important it should not be forgotten that India has endured many attacks from Pakistan funded terrorists.
Even her fans said that though war is not the solution, standing strong and united with the Indian army is of utmost importance.
At such a moment sympathising with Pakistani terrorists or the ruling class is not wise. Though some took to attacking the entire state of Kerala and their film industry which is also unfair as most of the artists from the industry supported the Indian army.
