Initially, there were reports that Retro’s OTT rights were sold to Netflix for around ₹80 crores. Now, with the strong buzz surrounding the Hindi OTT and digital rights, it looks like the Retro team has done massive pre-business for the movie.

Also, Kanguva is the only recent biggie to sign a Hindi OTT deal with an 8-week window and release in multiplexes across North India.

It looks like Retro will have a solid opening across the country, and if the team promotes it properly in North India alongside its multiplex release, Retro has a huge chance to become a super hit in the North Indian market.

Day by day, expectations for Retro are rising among audiences. Let’s see whether it meets expectations and helps Suriya make a solid comeback.
