Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran, directed by S. U. Arun Kumar, and Mohanlal’s highly anticipated sequel, L2 Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, are all set for a theatrical clash on March 27th.
The pre-bookings for both movies are now underway. According to reports, significantly low pre-bookings are happening for Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran.
Even though Veera Dheera Sooran has star actors like Vikram and SJ Suryah, the team has failed to create hype amongst the audience.
Initially, many theatres in Chennai were allotted their main screens for Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran, but now, because of lackluster pre-bookings for the movie, L2 Empuraan has been replaced in many theatres.
Despite being a Malayalam movie, L2 Empuraan is showing stronger pre-booking numbers than Veera Dheera Sooran in Tamil Nadu.
Now, Veera Dheera Sooran’s success heavily relies on positive word of mouth; otherwise, L2 Empuraan could potentially dominate the box office clash.
However, it remains to be seen which film will achieve blockbuster status or if both will find success on March 27th.
