Ever since Rajinikanth officially confirmed his reunion with Kamal Haasan, the Kollywood industry has been buzzing with speculation about who will direct this much-anticipated mega project.
Initially, there was strong talk that Lokesh Kanagaraj would take the director’s chair. However, Rajinikanth recently clarified in a press interaction that while the project with Kamal Haasan is confirmed, the director has not been finalised yet.
Following this, social media has been flooded with rumours. Some reports suggest Pradeep Ranganathan might direct the film, while fans are voicing their preferences for Atlee or Nelson Dilipkumar. Meanwhile, new speculation points to Sundar C being in discussions to helm the project.
Interestingly, many fans and industry trackers also feel that it might be refreshing if an upcoming director like Madonne Ashwin or Ashwath Marimuthu is chosen. They point out that Lokesh Kanagaraj was relatively new when he delivered hits like Kaithi and Vikram. Similarly, a fresh face could bring originality and energy to this Rajini–Kamal reunion.
For now, the suspense continues. Kollywood fans are eagerly waiting to see which director will finally bring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together on screen in this landmark film.
