Sardar 2 faces social media backlash

Karthi’s anticipated sequel Sardar 2 directed by PS Mithran, was released in theatres on September 10th and has received disastrous responses from audiences and critics.

Due to terrible word of mouth, Sardar 2 is now heading towards washout status in many centers and has become one of the biggest loss-making ventures of this year in Kollywood.

Meanwhile, social media has been flooded with lots of trolls and criticism against the makers of Sardar 2 after these terrible results. Especially, many people are highlighting the overconfident speeches of PS Mithran about Sardar 2 during promotional events and are heavily trolling him.

They claim that directors who speak with overconfident attitudes as if they are top-tier directors always end up as part of a troll fest after the release of their film.

Pointing to Lokesh Kanagaraj, who got severely trolled for his overconfident speech during the promotions of Coolie, H Vinoth for Jana Nayagan, and director Vignesh Raja for Kara, they claim that PS Mithran has also now joined this list.

Therefore, they feel that until the release of a film, directors and producers should stop speaking overconfidently during promotions; otherwise, they will get severely trolled with their pre-release speeches if the film’s results are negative.

Ultimately, PS Mithran is now facing severe backlash for his overconfident speeches during the Sardar 2 promotions and it remains to be seen how the director is going to make a comeback from this terrible setback.
