For the past couple of weeks, there has been strong buzz that Dhanush has signed a project with filmmaker P.S. Mithran, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali reportedly backing the film.
Mithran has now addressed the ongoing speculation. During a recent media interaction, he was asked about reports of his next project after Sardar 2 with Dhanush, backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The filmmaker confirmed that discussions for the film are currently in progress.
“Talks are going on for that film. Once finalized, we’ll officially announce it,” Mithran said.
This makes it clear that while discussions are happening, the project has not been officially finalized yet. Earlier reports about Dhanush teaming up with Mithran under Bhansali’s production banner have been creating buzz, but there has been no official announcement so far.
Mithran’s latest statement gives clarity to the reports while making it clear that fans will have to wait until the talks are completed. If finalized, the combination of Dhanush, P.S. Mithran and Sanjay Leela Bhansali could certainly be an interesting one.
