Despite being released over two months ago, Thangalaan has not yet made its way to OTT platforms. Rumors suggest that its digital release was delayed due to financial issues.
In a recent discussion on X, producer Gnanavel Raja clarified that Netflix had actually scheduled the film’s release for Deepavali (Diwali) because they wanted to capitalize on the festive period.
He also dismissed the rumors of any issues, stating that some YouTubers tend to exaggerate problems that don’t exist.
Thangalaan is now expected to be available on Netflix in multiple languages on October 31.
