Director Magizh Thirumeni is currently awaiting the release of Vidaamuyarchi, starring Ajith Kumar in the lead role, which is set for a worldwide theatrical release on February 6th.
In a recent interview, Magizh Thirumeni opened up about how he missed an opportunity to work with actor Vijay, a revelation that has now gone viral.
Magizh Thirumeni shared that, before starting the shooting of his movie with Udhayanidhi Stalin, he narrated three scripts to Vijay. Impressed by all three, Vijay found it difficult to choose and asked Magizh to select one, assuring him they would work on it.
However, the collaboration did not materialize as Magizh had already accepted an advance from Udhayanidhi Stalin for the movie Kalaga Thalaivan.
When Magizh approached Udhayanidhi to adjust his dates, the latter refused, forcing Magizh to honor his prior commitment. He later explained the situation to Vijay, who understood and assured him they could work together after Kalaga Thalaivan. Unfortunately, the project never took off.
Following this revelation, many social media users criticized Udhayanidhi Stalin, pointing out that Magizh Thirumeni has a strong fan base for his thriller films like Thadaiyara Thaaka and Thadam.
They opined that a collaboration with Vijay would have been a unique and exciting attempt, blaming Udhayanidhi for spoiling the opportunity and labeling him as cunning.
