Director Vignesh Shivan returned with his long-pending film Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) after the failures of Thaanaa Serndha Kootam and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and released in theatres on April 10, carrying decent expectations.

Pradeep Ranganathan had delivered three back to back 100 crore grossers earlier, which raised hopes for LIK. However, the film failed to meet expectations. Many viewers pointed to weak screenplay and poor execution as the main reasons for its disappointing box office performance.
