After the critically acclaimed Super Deluxe and the Ninaivo Oru Paravai episode from Modern Love Chennai, director Thiagarajan Kumararaja has not officially announced his next film. Fans have been waiting for an update on his return to full length cinema.
According to reports, the director has completed the script for his next project. Filming is expected to begin by the end of this month. Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing the lead, while Fahadh Faasil has reportedly been approached for a key role.
This buzz has excited fans of Thiagarajan Kumararaja on social media. After Super Deluxe released in 2019, the director is returning after more than six years. The possible collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil has added to the anticipation.
Since Vijay Sethupathi is expected to work with Thiagarajan Kumararaja for the second time, fans believe the film could become a career milestone. With Kollywood dominated by mass entertainers, audiences hope this project brings a refreshing artistic experience.
At the same time, the collaboration carries risk. Vijay Sethupathi’s last two films did not perform well at the box office. While Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s films earn critical praise, they do not always connect with mainstream audiences.
Because of this, the project could impact Vijay Sethupathi’s market position. However, no official confirmation has been made yet. It remains to be seen whether this collaboration materialises and how the film eventually takes shape.
