Following the blockbuster success of Amaran, Sivakarthikeyan is now playing the lead in Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film’s shooting is progressing rapidly, and the team is aiming for a Pongal 2026 release.
Parasakthi is based on the anti-Hindi agitation that took place in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s. Due to this controversial plot, critics believe Sivakarthikeyan may face negativity at a crucial stage in his career.
After the film’s release, BJP members might target Sivakarthikeyan for supporting an anti-Hindi narrative, while DMK supporters could criticize him if the anti-Hindi sentiment is not portrayed convincingly, according to netizens.
This could be unnecessary trouble for Sivakarthikeyan, as he is currently in a growth phase. With Amaran elevating him into the big league, any political controversy surrounding Parasakthi could bring unwanted negativity, say Kollywood audiences.
However, it remains to be seen how Parasakthi will shape up and whether Sivakarthikeyan will face backlash or manage to avoid any major repercussions post-release.
