Airtel Revised 5G Unlimited Plans!

Airtel has also raised its 5G unlimited plan and the basic plan now cost Rs 409 for 2. 5GB/day from the previous price of Rs 239 for 1 GB per day. 5GB/day. This news comes a day after Jio also reviewed its tariffs with its basic 5G plan starting from Rs. 349 for 2GB per day.

This has been done due to the introduction of 5G services and to increase the Average Revenue Per User. Mobile operators are following the same pattern they followed with 4G; offering unlimited data at cheaper rates to hook the public and then gradually hike up the costs.

This is likely to boost the annual telecom service consumption by a staggering amount of Rs 47,500 crore. Despite the fact that the increase in the prices of the services might be a raw deal for the customers, it is something that has been necessitated by the need for the Telecoms to recover their investments in the 5G technology.

The telecom industry is expected to have a good growth in revenues and organizations such as Goldman Sachs have estimated that Jio and Airtel have a CAR (Compound Annual Revenue) growth rate of 15-20% over the next three years. Customers should however prepare to part with more cash to be connected by 5G technology that offers faster speeds and quality services.
