Chandrayaan-3: Indian Flag on Moon!

In a matter of immense pride for all citizens, India has become the first nation to have soft landed on the lunar South pole. ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 did its final maneuvers on the evening of Wednesday and safely landed at 6:04 PM on the 23rd of August. The success of the mission has filled the nation with joy and pride.

ISRO had made it possible for everyone to witness this historic event as it unfolded. National Geographic had announced that the landing will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar and National Geographic. The streaming of the landing allowed many schools and universities to host the telecast for the students on campus.

The event being a historic milestone in the journey of India’s space mission was telecasted live on all major news channels as well. The show was hosted by Gaurav Kapoor and a number of scientists from ISRO. The live telecast started at 4 PM.

Chandrayaan-3 is a very important mission for India and ISRO and it can play a huge role in exploring the south pole of the moon. The success of the mission is going to put India ahead of other countries in the space race. The mission is going to explore presence of ice on the south pole of moon which could play a crucial role in the upcoming lunar explorations.
