India is a fantastic opportunity for the growth of AI. The country has all the factors that can put it on the global AI map. Talent, a world-class developer system, and the India AI Mission all provide a conducive ecosystem. Hiring a team and expanding the reach of AI in India as part of the AI Mission is a first step, said Open AI head Sam Altman.

The number of users in India is next only to the US, says Open AI. It has also found that weekly usage of ChatGPT has increased four-fold compared to last year. India also ranks fifth in the list of top Open AI developers. Many students are hooked to ChatGPT in India.

Recently, ChatGPT introduced ChatGPT GO in India with a monthly plan of Rs 399. It allows messages, image uploads, and image generation. It also supports UPI payments and Indic (Indian) language use.
