All Flights Canceled till July? Viral Claim’s Real Truth

A wave of confusion spread on social media after viral posts claimed that Air India had cancelled all its international flights until July due to a fuel shortage. The rumours created panic among travellers with upcoming plans.

Air India quickly issued an official clarification, rejecting the claims as false and misleading. The airline stated that its international operations are continuing as scheduled. Passengers were advised to depend only on official communication channels for accurate updates.

The panic reportedly started from a widely shared post that suggested a complete suspension of international services. At the same time, recent reports about reduced frequencies on certain routes may have added to the misunderstanding among travellers.

While Air India has made some temporary adjustments, it has not cancelled all international flights. These changes are linked to operational and geopolitical factors. The airline continues to manage its network based on evolving global conditions.

Reports indicate that over 500 international flights were adjusted across April and May. Around 100 flights from daily operations may see temporary changes in schedule or reduced frequency, depending on demand and route conditions.

Despite these adjustments, Air India continues to operate flights to major global destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. However, travellers may experience fewer weekly services or revised timings on select routes.

This incident highlights how quickly misinformation can spread online. It also shows the importance of verifying updates through official sources, especially during times of uncertainty in the aviation sector.
