Starting later this year, Delta passengers can watch a curated selection of anime on more than 169,000 seatback screens across over 900 aircraft. This is the widest in-seat anime availability among U.S.-based airlines.

Streaming Benefits for SkyMiles Members

Through Delta Sync Wi-Fi, SkyMiles Members can enjoy a free 24-hour Crunchyroll trial on personal devices, usable during or after the flight. The platform offers over 50,000 episodes from 2,000 titles and 25,000 hours of content across genres such as action, romance, and fantasy.

Popular Titles Expected

While the confirmed list is yet to be revealed, anticipated titles include Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer, and Dragon Ball. Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll, described anime as “the perfect companion for long flights,” while Julieta McCurry, Delta’s Vice President of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, said the partnership aligns with Delta’s focus on content that passengers truly enjoy.

Expanding Crunchyroll’s Reach

This move is part of Crunchyroll’s strategy to grow beyond its streaming base. The company has also partnered with VIZIO to bring hundreds of thousands of episodes to smart TV users and continues expanding its theatrical anime releases. With this collaboration, Delta strengthens its position as a leader in passenger entertainment.
