No Update, No Bags: IndiGo Flight Cancellation Mess

An IndiGo Airlines passenger has accused the carrier of poor coordination and zero communication after their Ghaziabad to Bengaluru flight was cancelled without notice. The traveller said they only learned about the cancellation upon reaching the airport early on November 4, 2025.

No Prior Alert or Assistance Provided

According to the passenger, they received no SMS, email, or phone call informing them of the cancellation. When they contacted IndiGo’s customer support, they were told that no direct flights were available and were rebooked on a new route Delhi to Bengaluru via Hyderabad.

Missed Connection and Extra Travel Costs

The revised route forced the passenger to travel from Ghaziabad to Delhi at their own expense. After reaching Delhi, they discovered that the Hyderabad leg was delayed, causing them to miss their connecting flight. Following repeated follow-ups, IndiGo eventually accommodated them on a direct Delhi–Bengaluru flight, but the ordeal caused a 10-hour delay.

Luggage Delivered a Day Late

The trouble didn’t end there. Upon arrival in Bengaluru, the passenger’s checked-in baggage was missing and was delivered only the next day. The traveller described the experience as “stressful and chaotic,” blaming IndiGo’s poor communication and ground coordination for the mess.

Calls for Better Airline Accountability

This incident has once again raised concerns about IndiGo’s customer service standards. Passengers are urging the airline to improve its notification systems and contingency planning to prevent similar travel disruptions in the future.
