Her Thursday evening flight was cancelled due to bad weather, followed by several operational cancellations and failed rebookings. Even after paying for hotel stays, meals, and a $120 Uber from Newark to LaGuardia, she received no support from the airline.

Adding to her frustration, she didn’t get the seat she was assured. Despite repeated attempts to rebook, nothing worked in her favour.

Even after filing a complaint with the Department of Transportation (DOT), American Airlines stated that it was not responsible for refunding her out-of-pocket costs.
