The crash occurred on Westside Parkway just past Maxwell Road.

According to police, the vehicle lost control, flipped, and crashed into the trees, with speed suspected as a contributing factor.

Aryan Joshi, a senior at Alpharetta High School, was just days away from graduation. His principal, Mike Scheifflee, broke the heartbreaking news to students and parents.

“It saddens me to inform you of the death of senior Aryan Joshi,” he wrote, highlighting Joshi’s kind and caring nature.

Sriya Avasarala of Telugu origin and Anvi Sharma, both freshmen at the University of Georgia, had just completed their first year.

Two other passengers survived the crash and were rushed to the hospital.

The driver, identified as Rithwak Somepalli, a Georgia State University student, and Mohammed Liyakath, also a senior at Alpharetta High, remain hospitalized.

Friends and classmates are left reeling from the sudden loss. Anisha Hadimani, a close friend, who was crying inconsolably, described Aryan as one of the nicest people she ever met, always ready to support others.

She remembered Sriya as a wonderful young woman, emphasizing the profound impact of their loss.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, motor vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of death for teenagers.
